Confluence Training

The Confluence course provides you with a solid understanding of terminology, the typical tasks performance related , the Wiki Markup language, and the confluence development environment.

In this course you will learn about the Wiki Markup language and how to customize your installation to make changes to your spaces.

You will also learn how to correctly identify the scope of customization, administration & usage in confluence.

Objectives

In this class you will learn how to:

• Create and organize a project
• Store files, data, and links
• Work with Wiki Markup code
• Customize the user interface
• Plug-in deployment & usage
• Skins / themes deployment.

Course Prerequisites:

Previous Confluence experience is not required; however, you should be comfortable with the following:

• HTML coding / web scripting languages
• Familiarity with Java esp. for plug-in installation
• Basic Windows terminology & MS Office.

Later sections of the course assume familiarity with basic programming or scripting languages concepts.

Training room Prerequisites:

• Workstation for each participant with
  • Windows Xp or higher.
  • Java JDK 1.5 or higher
  • MySQL or SQL Server 2003 or higher
  • IE(6.0 & 7.0), Mozilla firefox
  • Internet connection
  • Download Confluence installation file
• Projector & teaching aid if any.
